Features of Screen Printing
Screen printing (Screen shape: Flat Screen Printing Machine , rotary screen printing machine and belt screen printing machine.) is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a substrate, except in areas made impermeable to the ink by a blocking stencil.
1, thick ink layerThe screen printing ink layer is thick, the hiding power is strong, the ink color is bright, and there is an artistic atmosphere. The thickness of the screen printed ink layer is the thickest among the four printing methods. The thickness of the screen printing ink layer is generally above 0.03mm, and the thickness of some special-purpose screen printing ink layers can reach 1mm.
2, more types of inkScreen printing can use a variety of inks, such as oily inks, aqueous inks, synthetic resin inks, emulsion inks, powder inks, and the like.
3. Soft surfaceThe screen printing plate is soft and has certain elasticity. It is suitable for printing on soft materials such as paper and not talking, and is suitable for printing on hard articles such as glass and ceramics.
4. Wide adaptability Screen printing is very versatile and can print items of different surface shapes and different areas, such as plane, curved surface, spherical printing, etc. As small as a lighter, as large as a ship can be printed. You can also print on different substrates.
5, the printing pressure is smallWhen screen printing, the printing pressure is small and it is suitable for printing on fragile items.
6, printing speed is slowMost of the screen printing machines adopt the reciprocating motion mode, and the running speed is limited; the screen printing adopts the form of squeegee, the squeegee is a non-metallic soft material; the ink layer is particularly thick, and these factors all affect the printing speed.
